About the   local group

The   local group was launched in spring 2018 and now has eighteen active members, from the Ely area, other parts of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. We also welcome CIEP colleagues from further afield who are visiting our part of the world. Non-members of the CIEP may attend up to three meetings.

Our activities

The aim of our group is to provide opportunities for colleagues to meet, talk and develop professionally. We meet approximately every two months in the centre of Ely. The group includes employed, self-employed and retired members, so we vary the timing of meetings between morning, lunchtime and early evening. Most meetings are informal discussions over a meal or a drink, but we have also held a macro workshop, a summer picnic and a Christmas social. Further workshops, themed discussions, talks, visits and social events can be arranged if members wish.

Our communication

We currently use email and Doodle polls to plan our activities. Please see the monthly Local Group News email or contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for further information about the group and forthcoming activities.
