There is no set pathway for these courses: everyone has different needs. Some people are starting a new career; others will already be quite experienced and want to specialise further. We are unable to decide which course would suit you best – only you can decide that. However, if you have a particular query, contact the CIEP office for help.

The CIEP has developed a curriculum for professional development, which outlines the range of skills and knowledge that editors and proofreaders use in their professional life. Use the curriculum to help you find the gaps in your skills and knowledge, and some suggestions for helping you to develop.
