Membership Codes
The CIEP's Membership Codes set out standards of best practice by which members are bound both in executing their editorial processes and in their business practices. In effect, they are the guarantee that members attach to their work.
Equality, diversity and inclusion
We are committed to fostering an environment in which all members feel safe and are equally able to contribute to CIEP activities. We also aim to help members understand the ways in which issues of EDI impact on the work of an engaged editorial professional.

We recognise that, in a globalised workplace, the CIEP’s actions have an impact on climate and the biosphere. We are committed to minimising the adverse environmental impact of our operations and to helping our members enhance their own environmental performance.
Who does the work?
The CIEP is governed by a Council of elected members. The Institute’s day-to-day operations are overseen by its chief executive officer and office team, based in Milton Keynes. Volunteer members contribute via committees and working groups.
