Experience
Freelance since 2005, I have worked for the online journal AI Practitioner for fifteen years in a variety of roles, including proofreading and editing, layout and project management. In that role, I have worked with authors on many articles on Appreciative Inquiry, social constructionism and strengths-based best practice. In addition, I have helped authors in those disciplines publish with publishers such as Kogan Page and TAOS Institute.
I have worked with students, especially non-native speakers, on papers, theses and dissertations.
I am a tutor for the Certified Institute for Editing and Proofreading.

testimonials
Clear-headed and positive, Shelagh defined the stages needed to publish my book. She slimmed down rambling text, supervised a team of proof-readers, and communicated in a professional way with the printer. It is thanks to her work we recently celebrated the book-launch. Warm recommendations!

I would like to thank you for all your fabulous and quick work you have done, in particular your kind and valuable hints and spotting the unclear sections. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
