testimonials

Sarah’s editorial work is of a consistently high standard. She understood the need to familiarise herself with our house style from the off, and did so quickly, proactively using our style guides and common sense as far as possible, but always taking the time to clarify ambiguities…Sarah certainly has the requisite keen eye for detail, catching typos and errors that would otherwise make it to press…We feel Sarah is a safe pair of hands, and a pleasure to work with.

Guy Furness, ONdrugDelivery Magazine

Sarah has edited several manuscripts for Meyer & Meyer Sport of varying type — sport instructional as well as narrative. I have found that not only can she easily manage the different writing styles, she always pays attention to detail, catching both large context errors and small grammatical typos. Her queries are to the point and help authors to better revise and develop the text. She is familiar with multiple style guides and is able to edit accordingly. I am always pleased with Sarah’s work.

Liz Evans, Meyer and Meyer Sport

I highly recommend Sarah, who has been copyediting grant proposals for my team for the past year or so. She's incredibly reliable, promptly handling my last-minute requests. She learned our specific style very quickly and her attention to detail helps maximize the quality of our work. With a deep understanding of medical jargon as well as clear English, she also enhances the credibility and readability of our content. Collaborating with her has been a pleasure; her responsiveness and commitment to excellence make her stand out among other freelancers I've worked with. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working with Sarah

Scott Johansen, Medscape

Sarah is a consistent and thorough copyeditor and proofreader. Her work is always of a high standard and she is reliably confident working with longer manuscripts and more complex topics. She is always communicative and professional, and is a delight to work with.

Harriet Newcombe, Summerdale Publishers

Lotus Publishing publish a range of anatomy, physical therapy, sport and health & fitness titles, co-publishing with our US partner, North Atlantic Books. We recently employed Sarah Tomblin to edit a book entitled, ‘Understanding the Human Foot’. She completed this work to a high standard and we were pleased with her efforts, and have offered her more work within the last week.

Jon Hutchings, Lotus Publishing

Sarah completed an extremely thorough edit of a title on Summersdale's reputable health and well-being list, where attention to detail is paramount. She delivered her edit promptly and supplied a comprehensive style sheet. I am confident that her next project will be of the same quality!

Jess Zahra at Summersdale Publishers

It was a pleasure to work with Sarah. She was very quick to respond over email – and very understanding about delays to the schedule. Her proofread flagged some really helpful things that had slipped through earlier editing rounds.

Tania Wilde at Quercus Books

Sarah has edited several different industry reports in our portfolio. She is adept at proofreading and ensuring copy adheres to Fitch’s house style
