About Lorraine

Featured

I work across a wide range of non-fiction text types, including academic textbooks, articles for individual academics, theses/dissertations, international law documents, and illustrated books on fashion, crafts, history of fashion, theatrical costume design/construction and lifestyle.

I offer copyediting for scripts for all media, as well as fiction line editing and copyediting services, specialising in crime, thriller, mystery and suspense.

I have practical experience in music, theatre and crafts, and business experience in law.

I am a tutor on the CIEP copyediting and proofreading core skills training courses, helping new editors and proofreaders to achieve excellence in their chosen career, and I lead the team overseeing the online course content.

I work with publishers and directly with individuals, and enjoy helping to ensure any text is presented in the most effective form for its target audience, while also paying attention to detail.
