About

I have a BSc (Med) (Hons) degree in medical biochemistry, and have successfully completed courses in proofreading and copyediting through the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

I have over 10 years of freelance copyediting and proofreading experience, and before that I worked in-house for an educational publishing company. The majority of my work involves copyediting biomedical journal articles, books, study guides, or slide decks. I help to refine complex, dense text into a clear piece that is easy to understand, all while adhering to strict house style guides and ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout. I have experience working with educational publishers, packagers, medical communications/medcomms agencies, and directly with authors.

My scientific expertise includes oncology, nephrology, neuroscience, climate sciencegenetics, immunology, psychology and psychiatry, and the biomedical sciences in general.
