To help ease you into this year's conference, we've planned a relaxed and sociable evening with plenty of opportunities to meet the CIEP team, catch up with friends and colleagues and get to know each other.
Alongside the programmed activity listed below, there'll be optional pre-conference meet-and-greet sessions, giving attendees the chance to get to know each other before the conference begins. These sessions will be arranged closer to the event and more information will be available once booking closes.
| Time* | Session | Description | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| From 3pm BST | Arrival and registration | If you're joining us in person on Friday 11 September, we invite you to arrive at the venue from 3pm. If you're a residential delegate, you'll be able to check in to your accommodation from the same time. | In-person only |
| From 3pm BST | Informal networking |
In-person delegates can choose to take some time to freshen up after their journey to the venue or spend time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones through a combination of informal and more structured networking opportunities. Online delegates will have a choice of networking opportunities open from 4pm BST. In-person delegates are also welcome to join their colleagues online if they'd prefer to. |

| From 6pm BST | Dinner, drinks and Friday night speaker |
In-person delegates can join us in the private dining area for a complimentary drink before hearing from our Friday night speaker and enjoying dinner together. We're excited to be joined by Gemma Creffield, Editorial Director of Solstice, Simon & Schuster UK’s brand new Science Fiction and Fantasy imprint. The timing of the Friday night speaker will be confirmed closer to the event so online delegates can re-join us. |
