I originally trained in plant science with a degree in botany and a PhD in molecular biology. After post-doctoral research I moved into the world of publishing, working on journals, databases, books and online materials, for over 10 years. I now work primarily as a freelance copy-editor and proofreader specialising in scientific subjects.
