Testimonials

1. Freelance magazine proofreading membership/subscription (e.g. science/energy, nuclear, historic buildings and health therapy).

It has been my good fortune to work with some of the most gifted people in magazines over the last 30 years and it is my pleasure now to number Tina amongst them. Dealing with membership and subscription titles, our readership know their subjects and any mistakes would be quickly noticed and so to ensure this does not happen and to produce titles of only the highest standard we use Tina. Her grasp of magazine style is excellent and her clear and concise feedback is invaluable. Not least among her many talents is her flexibility and understanding that magazines sometimes have to have a fast turnaround, this she does without compromising the accuracy of her work. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who wants only the highest calibre of work for their titles.

Creative Director, Century One Publishing (2019-Current)

2. Pearson Education - academic/educational publishing (books/online)

Working with Tina in the Higher Education division of Pearson UK for nearly twenty years, she was responsible for managing a team of production editors (based in the UK and India) working on all print and digital publications produced by the division. All copyediting and proofreading was handled by a large group of freelancers who were mainly recruited and overseen by Tina. To establish and maintain the high quality of editorial work done by the team required the highest standards and experience of their manager and these are what Tina has in abundance.

Director, Pearson Education UK (1999-2018)

3. Pearson Education

Tina has experience in copyediting, proofreading, project management, scheduling, author management, rights and permissions and picture research, as well as managing a large pool of freelancers and internal teams both in the UK and India. In 2015, Tina successfully introduced an e-proofing tool to Pearson Education in the UK Higher education and Professional trade businesses … enabling proofreading to be done interactively, collaboratively and in an environmentally friendly way, now used on all books and cover - this was ground breaking at the time. She takes a lot of pride in her work, and the standard is always incredibly high. She will carry out any proofreading or other work with a great deal of expertise and care, so I would highly recommend her.

Senior Editor and Freelancer Editor/Proofreader (2019)

4. Pearson Education

In addition to proofreading skills Tina also has expertise in the following: author management and author content query resolution, excellent scheduling skills, good experience of on-screen proofreading system development and use (particularly ProofHQ), clear instructions to typesetters and a good overall understanding of the production process, a deep understanding of copyright issues, long experience of editorial management and freelance resource management, qualifications and strengths in project management.
