About Richard

Richard Savage – Richer Texts

Richer Texts is a language consultancy business run from Helsinki by Richard Savage, a freelance editor and journalist with clients across Europe.

With the benefit of over 20 years of journalistic and editorial experience from the UK and across Europe, Richard can help your project, business or organisation make the most of the English language.

Richer Texts offers high-quality, industry-standard copy-editing, proofing and (re)writing to ensure your English language texts make exactly the right impression.

My major clients include international institutions – The Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra – and I specialise in working on texts that have undergone translation (particularly from French, Spanish and Finnish) or have been written by inexperienced writers or those for whom English may not be their primary language.

I can work on long-term non-fiction publishing projects, specialist publications, websites, corporate literature or even a simple invitation, and am most familiar with the fields of international politics and affairs, international business, sport and culture, tourism and sustainable development.

I am also experienced in drawing up tailor-made publishing guidelines for organisations that wish to ensure all their material conforms to a specific house style.
