About Martin

PortfolioFeatured

I provide meticulous proofreading and copyediting services and specialise in mental health topics.

My friendly and helpful approach aims to ensure that your content has the desired impact, demonstrating your professionalism and positioning you as a source of expertise in your field. Alongside correcting errors, I also place an emphasis on making sure that the text I work on is clear and consistent throughout.

Within metal health I can draw on the knowledge accrued from editing a wide variety of books, journal articles and reports – alongside my previous experience as a health adviser with the NHS – to assist clients in this field.

I can mark up documents on hard copy using the British Standard proofreading symbols (BS 5261C) or on-screen using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Microsoft Word. I'm particularly familiar with Word add-in and consistency checker PerfectIt, including using it to design style sheets in line with clients' requirements.
