I have over a decade of experience in copy-editing and proofreading of a wide range of projects and for a wide range of clients, including the National Institute for Health and Care Research, UNICEF, UN Women, the Department of Health and Social Care and the Irish Environmental Protection Agency. My main area of expertise is non-fiction and academic publishing, particularly medical journals and scientific publications, including journal submissions, but, with a background in English literature and languages, I am open to working in any non-fiction subject area. I worked at Prepress Projects for 11 years, where I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the publishing process, from submission and peer review to proofs and online publication. My current 'day job' sees me manage a large portfolio of social science and humanities journals, so I remain highly attuned to the needs of academic editors and authors.
I really enjoy working with others, and I'm a friendly, professional copy-editor who will always communicate promptly and well.
I am from Scotland and am currently based in Fife.
