We’re all capable of spotting a red wiggly line under a typo or checking a spelling online. But there’s so much more to achieving accurate, easy-to-read, consistent text. If you’ve spent a lot of time on a project, chances are you’ll be a bit too familiar with it to spot any errors. And you’ve probably got more interesting, pressing or profitable things to do than worry about punctuation or check if that name was spelled the same three pages earlier. That’s why it’s so useful to have your text looked over by a fresh pair of eyes before it heads out the door.

My main experience has been in working with marketing departments at television, media and film companies to proofread and edit publicity materials. I have also worked on proofreading/editing copy for websites in a variety of different industries, as well as retail catalogues and social media posts. In addition, I have a strong knowledge of the fashion and retail industries, having completed an HND in the Business of Fashion, specialising in marketing, at the London College of Fashion.
