About Jonathan

Hey there, I’m Jonathan!

I’m a copyeditor and proofreader with additional expertise in brand identity and typography. I have extensive experience developing and applying brand guidelines across many industries, including education, video games, and consumer goods. I’ve been freelance since 2020.

Clients

My clients range from undergraduates and individual content creators to mid-sized businesses and game developers. The following are a few of them:

  • Good Humans, a campaign rollout agency — I proofread internal documentation, presentations, digital ads, and POS marketing materials for Jewson, the Printing Charity, and Monster Energy Europe.
  • KeqingMains, a digital media company — Following some consulting work, I was invited back in 2024 to serve as Editorial Lead. Now I manage the departmental processes and staff training.
  • King’s College International School Bangkok, a sister school to my alma mater, KCS Wimbledon — During its preopening phase, I edited marketing materials, drafted a house style guide, and coauthored the brand manual.

I have also done proofreading work for Brightwings Performance, Lilith Games, Remitly, and numerous other small businesses and independent content creators.

Professional Development

Every year, I explore new learning pathways to develop my editorial expertise, further my knowledge of relevant technologies for efficient editing, and keep up-to-date with the ever-changing English language.

I’ve completed training courses in copyediting and copyright, and I recently attended the CIEP Conference 2024, including seminars on ethical editing, leadership communication, and game editing. As of 2024, I am also an Oracle-certified professional in generative AI.
