Reliable and meticulous copy editor and proofreader of academic and professional material with over 19 years of experience.

Jess Rogers has worked in the publishing industry for over 19 years – her entire career.

As well as having worked as a freelance copy editor and proofreader for many years, she has also worked in-house at academic and professional publishers. Her roles have included not only editing and project management but also typesetting, so she has a strong understanding of the entire publication process.

As a freelancer, Jess has worked with publishers, editing services companies and businesses. She works predominantly with academic and professional material, including books, journal articles (both at pre- and post-submission stage), theses, dissertations and web content. She has extensive experience working with authors whose first language is not English.

Jess has worked with a wide range of subjects in the humanities, STM and social sciences. Jess is confident in multiple reference styles including APA, Chicago, Harvard, and Vancouver. She is able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional standards.

Jess has a first-class honours degree in History and has attended a number of publishing training courses, including those run by the esteemed Publishing Training Centre.
