About Jenny Gibson
I proofread and write marketing collateral, corporate communications, school materials and assessment materials.
Clients provide materials for proofreading in PDF or Word format, and I mark these up using Adobe comments (PDFs) or track changes (Word).
I have worked as a freelance proofreader and copywriter since 2014. Before then, I spent 15 years in marketing communications roles in retail and manufacturing and in a marketing agency.
My marketing roles combined with my client-facing agency experience help me to think from a customer's perspective and consider whether a message is clear, relevant and helpful. I use this experience to help marketing and business clients strengthen their communications.
Types of materials
Blogs, brochures, case studies, catalogues, corporate communications, direct marketing materials, e-shots/e-newsletters, exhibition materials, magazines, online assessments, reports, sales materials and websites.

"I went through the brochure over the weekend and just want to say thank you so much. You really are worth your weight in gold!"
Lynsey Goode, Collateral Marketing Executive, Amtico
"We have used Jenny for the past few years to proofread our school magazines (about 160 pages each) and reports. She is very thorough in her work and a pleasure to work with."
Hannah Smith, former Marketing and Communications Manager, Norwich School
“Jenny is an excellent copywriter. Her writing was integral to redeveloping our website – it was a complex project and we couldn’t have achieved it to our timescale without her. Jenny is a true professional: adaptable, efficient and a pleasure to work with. She picked up our house style and tone very quickly and always followed the brief, producing what we wanted on time.
I couldn’t recommend her enough.”
Lucinda Neal, former Digital Content Editor, Network Rail
