About Charlotte

I specialise in copyediting for academics, research students, and independent authors of fiction and nonfiction. I have degree qualifications in editing and business administration, plus years of practical experience. As well as being an Advanced Professional Member of CIEP, I'm also an Accredited Editor and Professional Member of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) in Australia.

Once you’ve done the hard work in writing your project, my job is to make your words work harder. I do this by ensuring your writing is clear, correct, consistent, and compelling – all while preserving your tone of voice. I work according to the IPEd standards for editing practice, so you can be sure that my work meets the highest professional standards.

My services include academic editing, manuscript editing, and business editing.

  • Academic editing: Ensure clear presentation and correct style for your thesis, dissertation, or research paper.
  • Manuscript editing: Maximise your chances of publishing success with a manuscript appraisal, copyedit, or proofread.
  • Business editing: Build trust, credibility, and engagement with professionally presented business content.

You can find further information about my services, read client testimonials, and see a few examples of my work on my website, CC Editing Services.
