This webinar will provide an introduction to the world of medical journals. If you're thinking about changing your line of work and doing some editorial work for a medical journal, or you'd just like to learn about something different, this session is for you. 

Join us on 27 November from 2.00 to 3.00pm GMT to hear from Syba Sunny, former medical doctor and now editor at a medical journal, who will give us an overview of how medical journals work.

The session will cover:

• The fundamentals of medical journals, including open access vs subscription models and the role of journal impact factors
• The different types of work an editor might get involved in
• Important codes and guidelines that editors in this field are expected to be aware of
• Hot topics and current challenges, such as the use of AI and medical misinformation.
