CIEP: Proofreading 1 – completed
CIEP: Proofreading 2 – passed with merit
CIEP: Proofreading 3 – passed with merit
Proofreading in Word (Tracked Changes) and PDF (Commenting Tools) and also marking up on hard copy using BSI Proofreading symbols.
Many years’ experience in a variety of environments and industries:
Aviation – worked as Administrator for private and commercial pilot training and as cabin crew. Also have a Private Pilot Licence.
Legal – worked as Practice Manager and Legal Secretary with experience in Family law, Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Wills and Probate, Residential Property etc
Television – worked on location as part of camera/sound crew for local news. Specialised in filming airshows.
Education – Personal Assistant to the Headteacher including writing and proofreading policies, documents, taking and writing up minutes, general correspondence and administration.
NHS – Medical terminology, patient triage, medical secretary.
I specialise in proofreading non-fiction with my interests and experience spanning a variety of subjects including, but not limited to, Education, Legal, Building Construction, Aviation, Medical, Canine, Equestrian, Travel, History, Geography.
I am happy to discuss any project for which my varied background, life skills and interests may be of use.
