Do you need an intuitive and insightful editor for your text?
Someone with extensive experience in non-fiction areas such as medicine, health & well-being, history and technology?
Well hello – my name is Anya, and I provide copy-editing and proofreading to publishers, organisations and – occasionally – individuals who want their text to be as good as it can and should be.
With two decades’ experience in publishing and an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP; formerly the SfEP), I have had the pleasure of working on a myriad of different materials for a diversity of clients: books and journal manuscripts; B2B magazines and press releases; website copy; and even high-profile events invitations. Here's what some of them have to say.
However, I’m not a jackass of all trades: it would be fair to say that I’ve developed a specialism for texts in the fields of STEM (medicine particularly) and history. And I do have a Master's degree in Creative Writing.
I'm based in London, UK, a stone's throw from world-renowned institutions like the Natural History Museum, the V&A, Kew Gardens and the Science Museum. So when I'm not at my desk you might find me in one of the city's Magnificent Seven cemeteries, navigating literal plotholes.
Or in a very quiet library, where the only sound is that of ink on paper.
Portfolio can be provided upon request.
