Annual general meeting

The primary business of the annual general meeting (AGM) is to elect the Council of the CIEP, to approve the annual report and accounts, and to conduct any other business of which notice has been given.

AGM 2026

This year’s AGM will be held online at 1pm BST on 14 October 2026.

We’ll soon be providing guidance on how to submit member resolutions and information about standing for election to the Council. Further details and information about the AGM, including the agenda, joining instructions and details of how the voting works, will be added nearer the time.

The annual and financial reports will be published in July.

Elections to the Council

The CIEP Council is the team of elected Professional and Advanced Professional Members responsible for the Institute’s governance and strategy. Once elected, Council members serve for a two-year term and can stand again at the end of that term up to three times.

We’ll be sharing more information soon about the number of vacancies this year, a role description that sets out what Council members do and details of how you can stand for election. Council members are elected by Voting Members – Professional and Advanced Professional Members.

AGM support and voting

We’ll be using a new external provider to support us with the AGM this year. We’ll provide all the details when we share more information about the AGM.
