CIEP members are invited to join us for quarterly CPD check-in sessions throughout 2026. 

CPD check-in sessions are designed to provide a dedicated and focused time and space to pause, reflect and refocus on your professional development objectives and goals for the year. 

There will be minimal content delivered during the session. Instead, CPD check-in sessions offer quiet, structured time in your diary to: 

• review your recent CPD activities 
• reflect on your progress against your goals
• update your CPD plan
• identify your priorities for the coming month
• recommit to your professional development alongside your fellow editorial professionals. 

There'll be opportunities to split into breakout groups if a group of members want to discuss something in particular outside of the main space. 

Attendance is flexible. You're welcome to stay for the full hour or drop out once you've got what you need from the session. 

Please note: This session will take place from 2pm BST. There will be another opportunity to join a CPD check-in session on the same date from 9am BST, which CIEP members can register for here.
