Services: 

I work on text at all stages of the publishing process – from first drafts to final proofs – helping authors and publishers develop and polish all kinds of writing. 

Developmental editing: A developmental edit involves a deep dive into the structure of the manuscript. I will work closely with you to: check structure and form | check and develop plot | check and develop character.

Copyediting: Copyediting focuses on the detail of a text. During a copyedit, I will: check all elements of a text are present, in the right order and are referred to in the same way throughout | check for factual and stylistic consistency throughout the text | correct errors or inconsistencies in spelling, punctuation, grammar and style | improve clarity by suggesting changes to help with readability | implement standard paragraph indenting if required.

Proofreading: During a proofread, I will check for any outstanding errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation. 

Mentoring: As your mentor, I can help with: scheduling and deadlines | plotting and writing | submitting and publishing.
