Lisa de Caux: Style sheet with editorial report

9am – 10am BST, 21 September 2025 ‐ 1 hour

Session 2 – breakout seminars (running concurrently)

This session is best suited to experienced non-fiction editors.

The style sheet with editorial report is the way I report to my self-publishing business book clients at the end of the edit. A style sheet you'd prepare for publishers wouldn't mean much to them, so I expand it into a report to give them enough information so they can understand what it all means.

I'm a career changer and I spent many years as a chartered accountant before becoming an editor so I'm very aware that director-types are used to receiving reports when they've employed a consultant.

I've had good feedback from authors. Sharon Eden said, 'Your style sheet was a revelation for me and enhanced my writing voice for ever.' Style sheets are generally referenced by clients as a document that they often use as they prepare to publish, and, in some cases, as they write their next book.
