Mini-conference - Scotland 2017

Scotland – Friday 5 May 2017
This was a one-day mini-conference organised by the local groups in Scotland – Edinburgh, Glasgow and North/East Scotland. The programme for the event, held at the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church, included sessions by:
- Geoff Pullum – Professor of General Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh, and a well-known blogger at Language Log and Lingua Franca
- Laura Poole – editorial trainer at Copyediting.com and author of Juggling on a High Wire: The Art of Work-Life Balance When You’re Self-Employed
This mini-conference was mainly for SfEP members based in Scotland and the areas just south of the border with NE and CA postcodes. The cost of attendance was £40 and delegates were awarded two SfEP upgrade points.
