Full-time freelancer since 2001, available all year for projects of any length, offering quick turnaround times and reliability on deadlines. I work mainly on arts, humanities and social sciences texts with over 900 freelance commissions completed to date for a number of academic and trade book publishers and direct for authors. I have an employment background in publishing and printing, a BA (Hons) in English and American Literature, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I read music and play several instruments, performing regularly with Manchester Recorder Orchestra and Stockport Ukulele Players. I am now a daily Welsh learner (dysgwraig Gymraeg) and a fledgling cryptic crossword setter (as Pixie). I am also a Fellow and an Accredited Indexer of the Society of Indexers (SI) and I was Marketing Director on the SI Executive Board from 2017 to 2020.
