Experienced finance professional, copywriter, editor and proofreader of finance and other business content; especially risk, regulation, investment, model documentation. Budding fiction editor.
I set up my freelance business Prism-Clarity in 2016 after a 30-year banking career, which started at the Bank of England and ended at J.P. Morgan. I now do copywriting, editing and training for investment banks, regulators, wealth managers, industry organisations, consultancy firms, other agencies and private individuals. I am currently in my second stint at HSBC working on a risk model documentation assignment.
Between 2017 and 2020 I was a visiting lecturer in Writing for Business at City, University of London. I am working on a book on writing clear business English.
I am branching out into different types of editing for indie fiction authors, and also looking to get more academic/trade publishing editorial work (non fiction).
