I specialise in the following areas: social sciences (particularly the areas of hazard, risk and resilience); and English language teaching materials. However, my background as a librarian/information officer coupled with my varied personal interests (walking, crafts, birdwatching, archaeology, social and economic history, local history, theatre, folk music, gardening, flora and fauna, cookery and regional affairs pertaining to the north of England) have enabled me to acquire a wealth of background information on a myriad of topics and I have the knowledge and flexibility to tackle many different subjects and types of material. I have particular experience in editing non-native English and multi-author volumes, including pre-submission editing. I aim to offer a friendly, professional service and to give your work a quality editorial check with timely delivery ensured. I also offer the following additional services: editorial admin, which can include tasks such as questionnaire analysis and combining of documents; information research; and virtual assistance.
