About Hugh Jackson
After studying for an unconscionably long time and practising as a lawyer, Hugh realised that people would pay him to read more interesting things. He then trained with the CIEP (then the SfEP) and now copyedits and proofreads books, articles and dissertations in an exciting variety of fields for publishers, businesses, academics and students. He also works with independent fiction and non-fiction authors to prepare their manuscripts for publication. He became an Advanced Professional Member of the CIEP in 2017.
Hugh lives and works in the beautiful South Downs town of Lewes, where his office, appropriately, is in a converted brewery. He likes to walk and fence and attempts to keep up with his young son.
